Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 NKJV

When I read Ecclesiastes, I get a "mid-life crisis/ I've been around and know what's up" vibe. It is definitely worth a read. King Solomon, known for the wisdom supernaturally given to him by God, is the author. (Read that story in 1 Kings 3:3-15.) I like how he just tells it like it is. Like this verse for instance. God us gifts, skills, and tasks that we are good at and/or enjoy. They're ours for a reason and He made us each with the ability to uniquely express them. There may be thousands of mechanics, but only you can do it like you do. A very large percentage of women are mothers, but only you are the mother to your child. Remember to do all for the Glory of God. My dad is an electrician. You know how many electricians there are in the U.S. alone? You may think, "how can wiring things glorify God?" Well, he provides a service to people so they can have power in their buildings and does it well. When they see that he is diligent and detail-oriented, it blesses them. It also gives him the opportunity to meet tons of different people at each new job. I have lost count of the amount of burley construction workers he has shared Christ with. It seems like every time I talk to him, he tells me he had another opportunity to pray with a coworker. An electrician isn't a "spiritual trade," but because my dad is who he is, it is now. 👊 Use what you have, because when this life is over, so is your chance.
