There is nothing more frustrating as a parent than having your child refuse to do what you asked them to do or when they do the things you told them not to. Our heavenly Father probably looks at us and shakes His head sometimes, but He is never frustrated or angry with us. Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us that God has a steadfast love for us that never stops and that every morning He provides new mercy that last forever.
I don’t know about you, but I am prone to wallow in a mistake as if it were a savory dish. The truth is that when we hold on, instead of laying them at the cross, we are standing in judgement as if we hold the power to forgive or not. This could be likened to positioning ourselves greater than God. Ouch! When we allow our hearts and minds to be continuously aware of His love and mercy, our mistakes become a new beginning. Jesus died to cover our mistakes so that we can be in a loving relationship with Papa God. Where love abides, fear cannot. Take some time to bring your flaws before your loving Father, allow Him to cover all of the past and present mistakes with Jesus’ blood of cleansing and move on in the new mercy of today. His faithfulness is great!
